Get To Know Us

It all started with a dog and a dream…

In 2015, Andrew Black founded VetCare with two practices in Mission, British Columbia. The next three years were dedicated to understanding the soul of each practice and the nuances of the veterinary industry.

Today, with nearly 50 practices coast to coast, Andrew (and the rest of our team!) is still learning new ways to improve pet health, unite veterinary professionals, and preserve the distinct heart of every practice.

We want to change how animal medicine is delivered for the better. Do you want to be a part of it?

Here’s What Your Transition Could Look Like

We hear you. Handing over your vet practice is a big change and can become overwhelming very quickly. Let’s break down step-by-step what your transition might look like:

We invite you to connect with us to provide us with an understanding of your practice and transition aspirations.

Let us answer your questions related to what is most important to you in a transition, including patient, client, and team care.

We value your input and welcome your involvement in shaping a transition plan that will benefit both the present and future prosperity of the practice.

Once you are comfortable that we understand your transition goals, and confident about how your legacy will continue to grow in our hands, our team will work with you to proceed with a review of your practice.

At VetCare, we seek high-quality practices that embody our values. If we find that your practice is an ideal match for our community, we will consider extending an offer to purchase your business. At this point, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with our leadership team to make sure you feel comfortable and aligned with us.

We truly care about supporting the well-being of you and your team throughout the transition process, from the initial offer to the final closure and beyond.

We take a collaborative approach to your transition, working together to develop a strategy that ensures your practice will continue to operate under the goals and vision you established.

We’re in this together and we’re committed to helping your team and clients thrive — and this is only the beginning of our journey together.

Our goal is to lift the weight of management responsibilities from your shoulders, allowing you to focus on your passion of practicing veterinary medicine.

With local support readily available, VetCare is dedicated to maintaining exceptional care for your patients, clients, teams, and continued success for your practice.
